Happy Birthday Singapore!

Went to the national day celebration at Kallang stadium only to find that expectiation was slightly too high for it. thinking that this is the last celebration held at the reknown kallang stadium, i was expecting something more elaborate and exciting...
as the saying goes - the higher the expectations, the harder u fall

I must comment on the efforts to bring up the fireworks festival, that falls along with our National's Bday. The fireworks for the day was spilt into 3 parts, the finale was the best. Haha..because i liked the big plentiful floral effects from the fireworks.
BUT dear all, are we forgotting something? Its our Nation's celebration, not the commence of fireworks festival! I guess this year I did not get to hear and sing as many national day songs, and i am getting the withdrawal effects. They only sang few phrases from so many songs!
Ah boon claims i am too outdated, but i still think that's the time where all Singaporeans sing something they knew and they liked together.

Alas, I missed those times where the marching contingent filled up the whole field and those Mac fillet burgers for free (yeah, that was along time ago)
