JJC Dinner
Our Track team along with Ms Ban (Lun's gf) went for the annual graduation dinner @ Suntec City on this day. The MC & program was way better than what we had for our graduation back in year 2000, though sadly they did not have lucky draw prizes. I guess the change in school environment after ms Ching is really different! During the year 2000, We paid around $45-$50 for a Ulu place in Yishun with SUCKY food (I wondered who volunteered that venue), and horrible programs.
Now, We were lucky to sit at the 'Teachers' table, with red napkins. other than that, I do not see what difference is there between student's table & us...
Old...
That's what we felt when we were seated among our juniors. We tried to dressed up, but they were even more ... i say they managed to invest more for this event. Glam dress, 1/2 cups, nipple tapes, bare back, short minis, hairdos, shiny glitters, suits, ties, 5incher & etc ... Our black dress & black heels lost to the new era. I still remember in year 2000, tube dress was the IN thing, but now its the battle of the 1/2 cups!
Maybe I belonged to the group with min 1.7m in height, thus i was more interested in looking at legs. Scanning through the whole 100 tables of people, I was only able to find 1 min skirt lady with good heights that carried her slim legs well...Haiz..those were the days where we showed our legs..Now...i rather hide those flabs! ENVY.
Gradutation...
We graduated from JJ 6 years ago. We did not realised it was this long time ago until we saw the ladies who sat with us - they are graduates too, but they did not look like they are in the working society. There's just something in them that says "I am still studying, old people!" Almost all the teachers in our batch are gone, there is no 1 on the screen that we know of, except Lee Yee Fock - our reknown discipline master.
Those were the BEST 2 years of my study life, not because I married my school mate from there, but I got to know some of my best friends there. And I had enjoyed my times sneaking around in school. I was the usual late coming subject in Mr Lee's list, I got caught for not tying up my hair by Ms Ching, I was sabo to do hurdling, I went to adventure camp & learned more about immature 18 year old, I met my 1st boyfriend there, I married my school mate, I made best friends there ... there are so many things I cannot possibly pin all.
Haiz...I guess we are too old for the loud music & prom king queen pagent, but I must say we are still living a more interesting life than some of the people in the hall. Old people have their own past time - Our usual dao huay break after the heavy dinner!
