Bedok Blk 65

Went to bedok for dinner with Singyin & Grace, in celebration of Grace's bday. Muahahah! Interesting place...
Taking bus 222 from bedok interchange, we reached after 15mins of swaying. We were greeted with a splendid '我来也' as the local hawker EmCee opened up the night's horror, I mean event, with a competition between '我来也' & some other team.
Singyin came quickly & we shifted out seats to somewhere further, from the loud commotion of $88 ang pows to b given away to the small un-enthu crowd. I was informed that such event has never occured all the time Singyin went there...so i guess i was lucky in a certain way. Hokkien songs greeted us with pleasure but i have to say, they were blasting the speakers too loud for a 50person hawker.
Food...
Appetizer for all is the BBQ chicken wings - Hot but tasty. Nicely marinated! Must try!
Main course would be Bedok's reknown '肉碎面' & its wanton soup - QQ noodles with alot of 肉碎 in it. U have to mix the chilli bits they add in so that your soup taste better! The wanton gave a very crunchy feel to the main dish. Rumours has it that the soup gets sold out by 11pm, If you are coming for supper!
Desert was small bites of 'Oh tah' and Satay. I like the 'Oh tah', it smells great & the fish is nicely cooked inside out. Hadnt had such tasty 'Oh tah' for awhile, I couldnt stop smelling it. i did looked like sniffing addict... The satay was good also! There was not much fat meat in the lamb sticks, which is good & value for its money. Thumbs up!
There's a reason why certain hawkers lived on despite being old...
