Strange People
The earthquake that hit China had been the talk of the town, with 6 pg of reports on every newspaper EVERYDAY. It has been a week, and as time passes, the chances of rescuing the unfortunately buried are getting slimmer and slimmer. Even after they were rescued from the debris of what's left of the original building, some went into shock and dint came back. Those who made it, were either traumatised and some were made handicapped.
Kinda getting sick at the constant negativity the newspapers report. Everyday, they repeat the same sad story...over and over again. I wished they would report on how many were rescued or thankful they managed to stay alive. Then they start rattling about who's donating more, and who are the cheapskate ones. This is really not an issue about how much you donate or how much you love the country... Why cant the critics think of Mr Yao's situation? He may be facing some finanical crisis at the mo?
Sometimes, its really difficult to be a national icon & yet have some personal issues at the same time. They are admired & pledged as national 'hero' for their talent. However, they are also slammed for not 'recognising' their roots. Singapore is also facing such problems, where local talent move overseas and forget about where they learnt their basic eng from, or which pre-primary they attended...but we embrace them when they wished to come back. Why cant they?
(No offense to any critic or organisation involved)
