40th Cohort
The camp for the 40th Cohort has finally finished! Long 9days of in-camp style training has brought us closer (& for some, REALLY close).
We took this photo at OBS Pulau Ubin where we had this chance of running away from thunder clouds! It felt like extras on the set of a disaster flim. Anyway, this is the re-make of the ship Raffles took to Singapore. It resembles the beginning of Singapore and also the beginning of a wonderful 40th Cohort.
It was a fun experience living & playing with the Cohort. Through many games, projects, outings and meal experience, we learnt to accomodate & adapt to each other's life and working style. Some are natural leaders, while some are learning to become 1. The rest are good team players while some add fun to the whole picture.
An important lesson learnt in the camp -
Every1 plays an important part in the big community. Be it leaders or players, they wont function if 1 is lacking the other.
I used to hated camps cuz of a very bad military style training back in sec sch days. Like all, I held my reservations abt enjoying the camp when I was informed of the training. The night before, I even invited my gaming kaki over to kill some faggots to vent out frustration! Alas, despite being late for the course, kena left out in the group picture (becuz I was in the toilet)... I had a great time playing and hanging out with these group of ppl.
No matter how tired or how shitty the day was, I always looked forward to the night chats, gossips and laughters!
I missed the blurness of Jacelyn & her "eh, I am very tired..."
I missed Yiling's unique laughter
I missed Vivian's speed in everything she does
The most I missed is Nur's sudden appearance in the early morning!!
Its amazing how 5 different people can learn to live together and adapt to 1 another's short comings. A short 9 days can really show a person's character if she allows you to do so. I am glad our rm-mates are all very onz abt camping overnight at the super cold rms of NACLI. Its always dragging bags of barang barang to & out of our rm for the weekend BUT it was worth it. Thank you ladies! I am having withdrawal symptons of not giggling in the middle of the night.
Other than that, I also missed my welfare cohort..They are the jokers of the cohort. We practically smoked our way thru the presentation & that worried our lecturers greatly! Nothing substantial was given to the PPT we did, but we contributed a sum up to the major day with a skit that no1 will forget in their entire PA life - MR PAL 4 , the ah beng.
